Begoña is Legal Director of asistensi, a Madrid-based insurtech, with operations in Latin America and South East Asia. It offers accessible health plans to the families of migrants who reside in Europe, the United States and the Middle East that include health services and insurance coverage to protect them against day-to-day ailments, common illnesses, and medical emergencies.

Prior to asistensi, Begoña was Legal Counsel and HR Director at Further Group, an insurance underwriting and services company for serious illnesses with presence in over 30 countries where she was in charge of Legal and HR Department for almost four years and coordinator of Data Protection together with DPO over more than 15 countries.

Previously, Begoña was Legal Counsel at Clinica Baviera Group (stock company in Spanish market), responsible for Corporate law of all Group companies and data protection coordinator for almost nine years. Baviera Grupo is dedicated to sanitary business specifically ophthalmology surgeries in 4 countries.

Before this, Begoña did various internships in several prestigious law firms in Spain and Mexico such as Sagardoy Abogados, Sánchez Devanny Eseverri, Grupo Inbursa and a consultant company Grupo Ultramar Banking Corporation with presence in LATAM.

Begoña has a multicultural background in LATAM, USA, Europe and is lawyer in both Mexico and Spain including experience in over 30 countries for insurance, healthcare and corporate law.
