Our story
How did we got here?
Back in 2004 Andrés González-Silén and Luis Velásquez, founders of asistensi, launched Venemergencia, a company that has been pioneering health at home and digital healthcare in Latin America. That was the seed where we learned how to serve better customers of health insurance companies before founding asistensi.
With that background, in November 2019 Andrés and Luis joined forces with Armando Baquero to found asistensi in Madrid, Spain, with the vision of making healthcare accessible to everyone and the mission of empowering migrants to live their lives abroad with the peace of mind that we take care of their loved ones’ health back home.
